Lantz, The Forgotten Carnival

Synopsis

Every year, on Shrove Tuesday, the village of Lantz, in Navarre, tries and burns a straw giant called Miel Otxin. The book follows the trail back to the court case of 1817-1818 and separates what the documents say, what oral memory added and what authors have guessed.
